Attractive Vintage Royal Kerman Runner (Hallway rug), c1950
This runner was custom made for one of the Royal Palaces under the Pahlavi dynasty (Shah of Iran). These runner were subsequently auctioned after 1979.
Benefiting from higher than usual knot count (over 300 KPSI) and made of Kork wool (first sheer of a baby lamb) for extra softness.
A smaller example of this runner was sold in Christies for £7500. Lot 150, Christie's Interior Sale on 10th June 2014.
